The Fledge formed in Southern Ontario during the long, dark winter of 2021. Longtime members of both the regional and national musical community, the five members bring plenty of history with them, accumulating hundreds of hours of shows played, and thousands of kilometres travelled with other projects (Kitchens and Bathrooms, Dead Tired, The Inflation Kills). Their debut album “Hunter” was intentional and angular, methodically rhythmic with a lyrical lens pointed squarely inward searching for comfort in an uncomfortable time. Released independently in 2022, the album was well received, peaking at #2 on local campus radio (93.3 CFMU) and remaining on the charts for multiple weeks.
In the spring of 2026 the band signed with Brantford’s zBTFD Records, joining a rapidly growing roster of bands spanning genres and sharing worldviews. The Fledge’s upcoming full length release “Gatherer” (zBTFD Records) expands on themes developed during the recording of “Hunter” while also turning their gaze outwards to their city, their country and the state of the world around us. “Gatherer” is slated for release in the fall of 2026. Post-rock, post-hardcore, and post-optimist, The Fledge are Adrian, Kevin, Rob, Marco and Carl - best buds strolling together toward the end of days.
